Review Policy

I am only taking on Physical books in 2015 - Keep this in mind when reaching out to me - Thank you.

Bittenbybooklust started out primarily as an Y.A influenced blog back in 2010, but since then I pride myself on showcasing a number of different genre’s and books both Fiction and Non-Fiction. On this site I will review both Young Adult literature and Adult Literature in many varieties. I review books that I have purchased primarily but am welcome to ARC copies and frequently review books granted access from http://www.netgalley.com. I also participate in blog tours. All my reviews and ratings are 100% honest and I am not biased on the bases of where I receive my books.

 How I Rate Graphic Novels

I rate graphic novels is a little different to what I would a normal fiction or non-fiction book. Below are the things that I look for that reflect on getting a higher rating [5 stars] from me.

·         Does the artwork relate to the story? Does it emit any emotion in me? Do I appreciate it as art?
·         Are the characters realistic in nature to the story? Do I like them and if I dislike them are they still relatable?
·         Is it funny? Does it make me smile, laugh, get me fired up or make me question life? Does it make me think?
·         Would I recommend it to anyone that I know? Regardless of whether they are a fan of Graphic Novels or not?
·         Does the English translation come across clear and concise and can I understand and follow the story without frustration of confusion.
·         Is it original or does it have a unique story line?
