Synopsis:
The Wippiness Wars have escalated. Greg's father just can't accept that this son is an inveterate wimp. To cure him, Dad signs him up for organized, "manly" sports. When that doesn't work, he threatens use of the ultimate weapon: an involuntary stint at military academy. The threat makes our favourite wimp realize that if he doesn't shape up, he will be literally shipping out.
Review:
This series is fast becoming my favourite middle grade go to books when I am in need of a light read packed with humour and self-obsession. As the series continues I laughed along with every scenario that Greg got himself into.
Greg’s Dad is your typical father who only wants the best for his son, and that means making him into the best man he can be, but of course Greg has other ideas and watching them unfold made this book addictive to read.
Yet again Jeff has hit the nail square in the forehead with this book, and I look forward to continuing the series in 2012. If you haven’t already pick them up and if you are looking for a book for a reluctant reader these would be great to start with.
